Meet Our Doctors:
Dr. Scott Hamann, DVM
Dr. Scott Hamann, DVM, graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins and has been practicing at Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital for almost 10 years. He and his wife Corrina purchased the practice in 2005. Dr. Scott also has six years of experience working as an emergency room veterinarian and has extensive experience in trauma, emergency medicine and surgery as well as anesthesia and pain management. His favorite part of practice is talking with clients about how to keep pets healthy for as long as possible. Outside of work he enjoys mountain biking, cooking, hiking and spending time with his wife, daughters Natalie and Suzie, and son Ben
Dr. Corrina Hamann, DVM
Dr. Corrina Hamann, DVM, grew up in Colorado Springs and prior to attending veterinary school was a junior high school science teacher. Dr. Corrina graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Corrina has been practicing for several years in the Colorado Springs area and joined the practice at Yorkshire in 2003. She loves being a veterinarian and particularly enjoys surgery, dentistry and internal medicine. Outside of work she enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her husband and three kids. The Hamann family also has two dogs (Otter and Thomas) as well as four cats (Aleo, June Bug, Hazel and Sweet Pea).
Dr. Kelly Walsh, DVM
Dr. Kelly Walsh, DVM, grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and studied Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. Dr. Walsh did a veterinary internship at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, NY. She then moved to Colorado Springs in 2010 and worked at Animal Emergency Care Centers for 2 years. During that time, she went to Options for Animals: Animal Chiropractic College and received her chiropractic certification. Her interests in veterinary medicine include surgery, pain management (to include chiropractic care), and internal medicine. She is looking forward to teaching clients preventative care and healthy living. She and her husband have an Akita named Hachi, and 2 cats, Bayou and Kohai. In her free time, Dr. Walsh loves to enjoy the outdoors through horseback riding, travel, and hiking.
Dr. Anne Finke, DVM
We are excited to announce the addition of our newest doctor, Dr. Anne Finke, DVM! Dr. Anne works full-time at Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital and is most interested in internal medicine and preventative care. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2011. Soon after graduation, she moved to Colorado with her husband Mark, who is an equine veterinarian in Peyton, CO. Dr. Anne and Dr. Mark just had their first baby, Caroline, in November 2013. Cooking, reading, and being outdoors are a few of her hobbies that she shares with her husband, and Labrador Retriever, Jake.
Susan – Office Manager
Susan left the big city of Los Angeles and moved to Colorado Springs in the spring of 2006. She spent nine years working at a 4-doctor practice in California. Susan holds a master’s degree in English and has a combined love for writing and animals. Susan joined Yorkshire in 2009 and truly values the bond shared between pets and their owners. She enjoys volleyball, yoga, and enjoys relaxing weekends with her husband and two cats, Dexter and Sunny.
Team of Certified Veterinary Technicians
All of our veterinary technicians are certified and are graduates of an AVMA accredited veterinary technician school. In addition, they each have years of experience and provide top notch nursing care to every pet.
Kim, Licensed Veterinary Technician, VTS (Dentistry)
Kim grew up in Palmer Lake and has been a veterinary technician for over ten years. She provides excellent nursing skills and also manages the ordering of all our supplies. Kim enjoys all things outdoors including hiking, running, biking and snowshoeing. She enjoys spending time with her husband Joe and their dogs, cats, goats, and horses! Kim was voted CVMA 2010 Technician of the Year. Kim was one of 40 technicians throughout the United States that received her veterinary technician specialty in Dentistry.
Kelly, Certified Veterinary Techncian
Kelly has been working for Yorkshire since 2007. We are delighted to have her. Kelly has amazing technical skills and has a wonderful demeanor with our patients. She's also a master of taking on hospital projects and staying on top of all safety protocols. On her days off, she enjoys hiking with her husband and dogs. She and her husband now welcome a new baby boy to their family!
Brandy, Certified Veterinary Technician
Brandy has been a veterinary technician for over 17 years. She has been with Yorkshire since 2011 and brings with her a plethora of technical talent. She is wonderful with animals, provides excellent client services, and assists with many hospital projects. She likes to spend her free time with her pets Tumbleweed Tina, Pheobe, Shado, and Fluffy. Brandy has a love for the arts and enjoys reading, films, as well hiking. Brandy is also the talent behind all of our amazing Facebook posts and pictures.
Natasha, Veterinary Assistant
Natasha has lived in Colorado for 12 years. She went to Pikes Peak Community College for Zookeeping and has experience with exotic pets. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program through Penn Foster. Natasha runs the laser treatment here at Yorkshire and has certifications in Animal Laser Therapy, Medical Laser Safety, and the Scientific Basis of Medical Lasers. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 daughters, and 3 dogs, Sam, Sheila, and Mo. Natasha is excited for raising chickens and gardening in the Spring season. Her motivation and outgoing personality are a few of the many assets she adds to the Yorkshire team.
Ana, Veterinary Assistant
Ana moved to Colorado Springs from the beaches of Florida. She has over 4 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant and is currently taking courses to obtain her Veterinary Technician Certification at Penn Foster. Ana is friendly, warm and brings a high level of skill to our team. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, hiking, running, and spending time with her husband and two cats, Crinkles and Mr. Engine.
Adrianne graduated from Palmer High School and went to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado where she attained a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. She played for the Fort Lewis women's volleyball team where she received the All Century Team Award. In her spare time, she gives back to the community by coaching youth volleyball and enjoys running and camping. She rescued her first pet, M.J.the kitty, from the Humane Society. The newest addition to Adrianne's family is her dog, Jax. Adrianne has a very courteous and gentle demeanor and has been an excellent addition to the Yorkshire staff.
Amanda has lived in Colorado Springs since she was 1 year old. She graduated from Palmer High School in 2010 and is currently studying at Pima Medical Institute to become a veterinary technician. Her determination and attention to detail are great additions to the receptionist staff. Amanda has a Doberman Pinscher, Sasha, and an adopted ex-stray cat, Oliver.
Shawna is a native of Colorado Springs and graduated from Coronado High School. After 10 years of staying home to raise her 3 kids, she entered back into the work force here at Yorkshire. She and her family recently rescued T-Bone, a Beagle mix, from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. They are enjoying the newest member of their family. Shawna's contagious laughter and warming smile add to our already amazing front office staff.
Abbie moved to Colorado Springs in the summer of 2013 from Greenville, New York. She obtained her Human Biology degree from the University of Albany in May of 2013. Abbie has ten siblings, 4 of whom live in Colorado. She moved here to be close to her family. In her spare time, Abbie enjoys running, hiking and snowboarding with her boyfriend, Taylor. Abbie's attentiveness , attention to detail and warm personality add to our friendly, front office staff.
Evie has had a long history with Yorkshire. She brought her pets to us for several years. When she was in high school, she volunteered in the afternoons and provided lots of help and support to our technicians and doctors. It wasn't long before Evie returned and became a part of our receptionist staff. She also works at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and is enrolled in the Zoo Keeping program at Pike’s Peak Community College. Evie enjoys working both jobs, as she has a passion for all creatures big and small. Evie is thoughtful, kind, and generous and brings a calming energy to our office.
