Meet Our Doctors:

Dr. Scott Hamann, DVM

 Dr. Scott graduated from Colorado State University and has been practicing at Yorkshire Veterinary Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital for almost 10 years.  He and his wife Corrina purchased the practice in 2005.  Dr. Scott also has six years of experience working as an emergency room veterinarian and has extensive experience in trauma, emergency medicine and surgery as well as anesthesia and pain management.  His favorite part of practice is talking with clients about how to keep pets healthy for as long as possible.  Outside of work he enjoys moutain biking, cooking, hiking and spending time with his wife, daughter Natalie and son Ben.

Dr. Corrina Hamann, DVM

Dr. Corrina grew up in Colorado Springs and prior to attending veterinary school was a junior high school science teacher.  Dr. Corrina graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.  Corrina has been practicing for several years in the Colorado Springs area and joined the practice at Yorkshire in 2003.  She loves being a veterinarian and particularly enjoys surgery, dentistry and internal medicine.  Outside of work she enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her husband and two kids.  The Hamann family also has three dogs (Otter, Thomas, and Windsor) as well as three cats (Aleo, June Bug, and Louie).  Corrina also serves on the board of directors for the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region and Almost Home for Hounds (a greyhound rescue group). 

Dr. Mark Kombert, DVM

Dr. Mark is our good friend and one of the best veterinarians we have ever worked with!   He graduated from Louisiana State University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed an internship at Animal Medical Center in Boston.  He completed a  residency in zoo medicine at the St. Louis Zoo.  He has held a variety of positions including emergency medicine, private practice, and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.  We are very happy to have Dr. Mark working with us Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  He loves to see exotic pets as well as dogs and cats.  Dr. Mark has two sons, Max and Henry, and outside of work he enjoys hiking, reading, and making his own mayonnaise (for real)! Dr. Katie Phillips, DVM

We are very excited to announce the addition of Dr. Katie Phillips, DVM, to our talented staff of veterinarians here at Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Katie graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, and has specialized in small animal, avian, and exotic veterinary medicine for the past 10 years. We know that all of our patients - furry, feathered, and scaled, will benefit from Dr. Katie's years of experience and the exemplary, compassionate care she gives to every client and pet.

While at home, Dr. Katie enjoys spending time with her husband Norm and 2 year old daughter, Natalie. The Phillips family is anxiously awaiting the birth of their second daughter in the beginning of January. Her family also includes golden retrievers Samson and Dharma, cats Abby and Zoey, an Eclectus named Hawkeye, and two cockatiels.

Katie will be joining us on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays after she finishes her maternity leave in March.

Team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians

All of our veterinary technicians are licensed and are graduates of an AVMA accredited veterinary technician school.  In addition, they each have years of experience and provide top notch nursing care to every pet.

Kim, Licensed Veterinary Technician and Mango Bob, Resident Feline

 Kim grew up in Palmer Lake and has been a veterinary technician for ten years.  She provides excellent nursing skills and also manages the ordering of all our supplies.  Kim enjoys all things outdoors including hiking, running, biking and snowshoeing.   She enjoys spending time with her husband Joe and their dogs, cats, goats, and horses! Kim was voted CVMA 2010 Technician of the Year.

Nick, Licensed Veterinary Technician

 Nick has over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine.  He was born at the Air Force Academy and grew up in North Carolina.  He and his wife Jenny are very glad to be back in Colorado Springs and enjoy the  mountains with their three dogs and cat.

Kelly - Certified Veterinary Techncian

Kelly has been working part time for us since 2007 and joined Yorkshire full time in April of 2010. We are delighted to have her. Kelly has amazing technical skills and has a wonderful demeanor with our patients. On her days off, she enjoys hiking with her husband, Pitbull, Junior and Chihuahuas, Kayla, and Izzy.

Jenna - Certified Veterinary Techncian

Jenna graduated from PIMA in December of 2009 after completing her internship with us. She brings a wonderful smile and a positive attitude to work with her everyday. Jenna is very helpful and assists with both technical and front office duties. She recently got married and likes to spend time with her husband and dogs, Smokey, Bandit, and Sasha.

Susan- Office Manager

Susan comes to us with many years of veterinary experience as well as diversity of other talents.  Susan has a Master's degree in English and played volleyball in college.  She also enjoys yoga, running, and spending time with her three cats, Sunny, Koa, and Dexter. She enjoys working with clients and helping provide the best customer service in town!

Sonya - Veterinary Assistant

Sonya comes to us with almost 10 years of experience in the veterinary field. She has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and is currently looking into her technician certification. Sonya enjoys skiing and snowboarding and spending time with her dogs Kayla and Styx. She has an amazing personality and brings a smile and charm to Yorkshire everyday.

Colleen - Lead Receptionist

Colleen is returning to Colorado after living in New Mexico.  She has several years of veterinary receptionist experience and is always ready to help our clients.  We are very fortunate to have Colleen representing our hospital, as she is very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Colleen is warm, compassionate, and provides excellent service to our clients and patients. She shares her home with her husband and two dogs, Vanna and Mac, as well as her Bearded Dragon, Bindi.

Adrianne - Receptionist

Adrianne graduated from Palmer High School and went to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado where she attained a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. She played for the Fort Lewis women's volleyball team where she received the All Century Team Award. In her spare time, she gives back to the community by coaching youth volleyball and enjoys running and camping. She recently rescued her first pet, M.J.the kitty, from the Humane Society and is having fun with her newest famly member. Adrianne has a very courteous and gentle demeanor and is an excellent addition to the Yorkshire staff.

Jen - Receptionist

Jen grew up in Fort Collins, and moved to Colorado Springs in 2008. She is a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor at Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center, where she works with children and adults with disabilities. In her spare time, Jen loves riding her horse Sky and spending time with her two dogs, Border Collie mix Sadie and Shiba Inu mix M.E. She also enjoys camping, fishing, and hiking. Jen's passion for helping people and their animals is just one of the many things we love about her here at Yorkshire!

Jennifer - Communications Coordinator, Receptionist

Jennifer joined Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital's wonderful team of receptionists in October of 2011. She also maintains our website, Facebook and Twitter pages, and our hospital blog. Jennifer loves having a job where she is able to help support people and their animals each and every day, and gets to use her creative side at the same time! At home, she enjoys being with her husband of nearly 15 years and their four children. Jennifer also has a large family of furry friends, including three Australian Shepherds Rugby, Chili, and Jett, Labrador Retriever Maggie, and her Siberian cat Finn (author of Finn's Corner!).
