Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital continues to monitor the situation with COVID-19 and recognizes the many concerns related to the virus. Per Governer Polis, veterinarians are classified as essentIal personnel and we will continue to remain open to serve the pets in our community.
WHAT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW?
Currently, all services are available. This is subject to change if local and/or state orders change. We will update our clients if any changes are made.
WHAT ARE YORKSHIRE’S HOURS DURING THIS TIME?
We have updated our hours to 7:30-5:30 Monday-Friday, and 8-1 on Saturday until further notice.
WHAT IS A CURBSIDE-SERVICE APPOINTMENT?
We are asking clients to remain in their cars to reduce the risk of exposure during this crisis. Please schedule an appointment as usual by calling or emailing a client care specialist. When you arrive for your appointment, please remain in your car and give us a call from the parking lot to let us know you have arrived. We will have a team member come to your car to escort your pet into our office for their complete physical examination. The veterinarian will call you with his/her findings and will develop a plan of action together with you. At the conclusion of your appointment, a client care specialist will call you for payment and a team member will return your pet to your car. Please remain in our parking lot for the entirety of your pet’s appointment unless directed otherwise. We can email you a receipt shortly after your appointment.
MY PET NEEDS FOOD OR MEDICATION
If your pet needs food or a refill of a medication, please call our client care specialists and they will get it ready for you. When you arrive to pick up your pets food or medication, please call us from the parking lot and pay over the phone. A team member will then deliver your pets food or medication, along with a receipt to you in your vehicle. We are asking you not to come inside for these products to reduce exposure.
WHAT IS A DROP OFF APPOINTMENT
For special circumstances we are allowing some pets to be dropped off with prior approval to be worked into our schedule once a doctor is available. With a drop off appointment, your pet will stay with us for a few hours. A specific doctor is not guaranteed for a drop off appointment, your pet will be seen by our first available veterinarian.
WHAT IS A TELEMEDICINE APPOINTMENT?
Through your smartphone or computer, you can connect with the same doctor you know and trust from the comfort of your home. Schedule an appointment with the client care specialists at the front desk the same way you would an in-hospital appointment. Please have your pet and video enable device ready to video chat at the time of the scheduled appointment, our doctor will call you. We may request you take photographs or videos of your pet with your smartphone during the chat. If medication needs to be dispensed, we will prepare the prescriptions and call you when they are ready for pick-up. The cost for this service is $40/15 minutes and we will have you pay via phone call with a client care specialist.
