Acupuncture

A Holistic Approach

Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer the ancient Eastern therapy of acupuncture to our patients. Dr. Jennifer Barber-Jones is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture through the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. The art of acupuncture has been around since 6000 B.C. and can be utilized alone or can be a wonderful addition to traditional veterinary medicine. We offer this service to dogs, cats, and we can even perform acupuncture on some birds!

What Does Veterinary Acupuncture Seek To Achieve?

Acupuncture seeks to alleviate physical discomfort your pet may experience as well as aid in the treatment of other health conditions. Acupuncture is excellent for the treatment of most pain, nerve diseases, disc disease, geriatric issues, arthritis, neuropathies, and general muscle weakness. Additionally, positive results have been noted in patients with conditions such as incontinence, infertility, and anorexia.
