Kara 

Kara brings a rich and diverse background to Yorkshire, combining her early experience in veterinary medicine with a 15-year career in mechanical engineering. After earning her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from APEX College of Veterinary Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, Kara returned to her first love—caring for animals.

Her favorite aspects of the job are working with a wide variety of species and managing anesthesia cases. A devoted bird enthusiast, Kara volunteers her time with local wildlife rehabilitation centers and the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, supporting avian care and conservation efforts.

Kara’s home life is just as full and rewarding. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Logan, their son, Luke, and daughter, Hannah. The family is also lovingly ruled by two cats—Butler and Raindrop—who keep things interesting.
